Libbey & Rebottled say cheers to a sustainable collaboration in the glass industry
Libbey and start-up Rebottled have partnered to design circular glassware for the European market. Rebottled is a sustainable company and has been developing sustainable glasses that boost the circular economy since 2017. The drinking glasses are made from the bottom of a wine bottle, with which they reduce waste and make glassware more sustainable. Interest in these drinking glasses continued to grow and Rebottled started looking for extra capacity. In Libbey EMEA (formerly Royal Leerdam), Rebottled has found a partner that meets these requirements and will help with further expansion into Europe. The further upscaling of Rebottled will take place in Leerdam and a capacity of 4 million glasses per year will be provided.
