How our glassware is made
Every Rebottled glass starts as waste. Follow the journey from used bottle to the glass on your table, for both of our production lines.
Route 1: Upcycled
The bottle stays a bottle.
A precision process turns the original wine bottle into the glass on your table.
Collect
Used wine bottles are collected instead of thrown away. Every bottle saved is raw material gained.
Laser cut
A precision laser cuts each bottle at exactly the right height. Clean, exact, and gentle on the glass.
Fire polish
The rim is finished with flame until it's perfectly smooth, and thermally de-stressed for everyday use.
Check, print & pack
Every glass is checked and packed in our own packaging, ready for its second life.
Compared to producing new glass. LCA verified.
Route 2: 100% Recycled
Not every bottle survives in one piece, but that doesn't mean its story has to end.
We rescue broken bottles that would otherwise go to waste, and transform the shards into new glassware. No new raw materials needed, saving significantly on CO2 and energy compared to producing virgin glass.
Collect shards
Broken and unusable glass is saved.
Melt
The shards are melted down into new glass, made entirely from post-consumer material.
Mould
The molten glass is shaped into completely new forms, from glasses to bottles.
Finish & pack
Each piece is checked and packed, ready for a long life on your table.
